Euro 2028 Stadiums

If casement won't be ready roi should be trying to get pair ui caoimhe as the second venue. Would need temporary seating put in on the terraces but is a relatively new stadium and the plans were already in place for the failed rugby world cup bid . Casements Park is a gaa ground anyway . We wouldn't have the ambition to even put the name forward mind .
I don’t think temporary seating can be used

Would have been put in place in Croke Park as well when that was nominated in the beginning. Unless they were going to put in proper seats that could be locked back as no way would the gaa permanently reduce capacity in Croke Park.

That was my point. Difficult to complete a stadium extension and revamp in 4.5 years when not even a feasibility study exists. Planning and construction would also be protracted in a city centre location. If it can't be done in 4.5 years as appears likely, it won't be able to start until 2028 and then won't be complete until the early 2030s. A long wait.

Planning won't be a problem. Newcastle City Council are weak and will sign anything off as it's NUFC like the ridiculous Stack outside the ground which is in the complete wrong place.

Why not use croke park or lansdowne road
This obsession with building new stadiums is crazy
Is dalymount park still around I think that’s where roi used to play

Sawdis have the jaudis over a barrel
years of history won’t make any difference as they lust after the Sawdi spondoolies
Leazes terrace???
Council forget that football owners and developers move on but legacy is left

Honestly, wouldn't surprise me at all lately. When you have nutters like Chi as a local MP rallying around for human rights and the Saudi's anything could happen literally.

Aviva already being used in Dublin. That's why croke Park isn't being used .

I maybe on dozens of ignore lists but it’s the first time I’ve been told of it. Nigh on 20yrs on here nee bans and only one ignore list. Must try harder seems to the verdict.
Im not ignoring him.. ;)
A few weeks ago, I had the audacity to disagree with him over summat (I think it was about Luton) and I was met with quite a barrage and placed on ignore (which mortified me 😭😭).
Best of it was, I know he has 'issues' so even said that I wasn't having a 'go' and tried to politely explain that folk CAN disagree with each other without 'falling out'.
I still ended up on ignore (I think).
🤷‍♂️

The Aviva Stadium IS the one on Lansdowne Road not a new one. Which as an aside presumably means it will need to revert to an unsponsored name for the tournament. Dalymount Park wouldn’t meet Football League ground grading these days never mind UEFA.

You mean like Hall's proposed stadium on the Town Moor ? That went well ...

Yeh she was slagging them off a few year ago , strange it’s all hunky dory now ( 2 faced ) now that’s a surprise.

Totally agree about it being brilliant for Belfast mate, but I’m not convinced they will find the cash.

I must admit, it does seem wrong that a GAA stadium is getting a major refurb for a football tournament mind. Back in March the IFA were still looking at options for Windsor Park, which would feel the better option
Windsor Park has already had its funding for a refurb in the original deal for the 3 sports and got 30 million. The GAA is the only one still waiting for its stadium refurb. Belfast really only needs one decent stadium but pitch sizes, location and politics means this was never going to be a runner. If there's a recession the cash might not be found I agree on that!

That was years ago though, the current council are a bit of a mess nowadays and are really licking the arses of the Saudi's.

Hall other than owning the club, didn't really do much for the city, you could argue he fucked them over and most the North East by building a massive out of town shopping centre.

f***ing. Hell. The whole post is just incredible and signs of having a complete meltdown.
Ah another old classic! Claim someone is having a meltdown. Despite having no rational basis upon which to make that claim.

Can you explain why I am having a meltdown?

PS - you can highlight bits in bold if you like.

I can too..
"There is so much Bollox spouted by some on here and you are a main culprit."

.....

You are right up there with Skylon and a couple of others.

Honestly if we were in your position and you were in ours I honestly wouldn't give Newcastle a second thought. You're in the upper regions of the Premier League, flying high in the Champions League, have more money than you know what to do with yet here you are constantly on here trying to bait Sunderland fans.

Is your life, and your Newcastle supporting experience so empty that you still need to be doing this?

It really is a question you need to be asking yourself marra.
I find it to be amusing, it is RTG that posts all kinds of random rubbish about NUFC. Is it not OK to reply....
There were mags watching our u21 game on YT the other night giving it the big 'un in the chat. Every SAFC video on YT has a mag in the comments. Some of your fans are obsessed with us, as are some of our fans obsessed with you lot.

Given the rivalry, I'm not surprised, but if you don't like the forum, perhaps leaving it would be your best course of action. Arguing with Sunderland fans on a Sunderland fan forum obviously will not end well for you.
What rivalry? The one so many here claim does not exist?

Ahhh right, you're a troll. My mistake. I thought you were trying to have an actual discussion.

Yup, that'll get you banned.
