That was my 1st thought looking at the list, do they have plans to expand?
Aren’t they redoing that end opposite the holte end. Witton end?

The emoji at the end ruined it so I shall leave it there.Mate i use digs allover the country and occasionally sunderland, occasionally newcastle.
Without even having a look i can tell you now sland has about 8 ‘hotels’ in n around the city, excluding bnbs etc, newcastle 30 minimum.
I think you’ve thought im taking the piss when im in full agreement with you![]()
Well you started it.Aye of course I am. Love them.
What a fking silly thing to say.
Im guessing here but I can’t imagine they want to commit a ground that could be 3rd tier of their football league. It’s not really a surprise is it
st James is a better ground ( in the eyes of other fans ). It’s in a more accessible and if we are being honest a better city that has a lot more to offer.

But then again that would be an unbelievable promotion tool. This is what our 2nd/3rd tier offers etc
YeahI’m guessing Villa park is increasing it’s capacity at some point ?
2 flat ones and a bag of gravel.Sid James's was booked for a stoning.
What’s changed since 1966 then? It’s not really a surprise is it

Irish Times speculated last week that if Casement didn’t get sorted, the SoL would be next in line, something about (outside of London) the organisers wanting 1 venue per city. Unsure what else is on the back up list, dont think the South Coast has any games but don’t know whether St. Mary’s or the AMEX have the necessary capacities?Seems a lot of work all to be done in 4 and a bit years. Apparently they haven't even broken ground on the Belfast stadium. Can't see it all being done in time.
Seriously the Stadium of Light is just a shed neglected by our owners...
So a short unnecessary metro ride back to Newcastle because you think the SoL should host games instead?

Bigger ground but not really a better one, it's ugly as fuck and a good 60% of the seats are awful and too far away. It’s not really a surprise is it

Why has the SoL hosted countless England Internationals then?
