Boro thread

Apart from the ref who wasn't up to the job I've no complaints, Boro beat us when we went down to 10 men, they did a number on us second half. We are a young team so I hope we learn from it..Boro should be in and around the top six come the end of the season as they have a good squad IMO, so roll on the rest of the season and let's see where we both end up...

Did he point without moving his arms? How very discreet of him.

I wasn’t slagging Neil off for showing passion because he was right. It WAS a foul. The ref overreacted, but I wish that Dan had thought first.
Holy shit - moving your arms now!

Goalkeepers are fucked.
Running up to the ref? Full of shit :lol:
People are just full on lying and gaslighting about what actually happened. Almost as if they have not seen it.

Thought we started slow as usual, some players looked tired , think that was the case Wednesday, Clarke looks like he needs the international break , Dan's sending off actually proves how good he is for us , boro were better than I expected but we are much better than the show we put on yesterday evening

Hang on a minute your player should have got a straight red for a ridiculous studs up lunge, then gets himself sent off for running up to and swearing at the ref which has been made clear is an instant yellow this season, what else could the ref do, overlook the law change ? I didn’t see any of you lot complaining last season when Fry got a red for a pretty debatable 50/50 challenge which started outside the box and ended up a red and a penalty. Your player got what he deserved in the end because he definitely got away with the first incident

Haway then smart arse. 2 red card offences in the space of a minute.

Ps 50/50 challenge for the Fry red card in January, are you serious

They dominated us because we had nobody that could play holding midfielder properly, everyone on the pitch was attack minded.

It’s the one of the most important areas of the pitch, that’s why clubs are paying £100m+ for players in that position now.

Dan Neil was the only player we couldn’t afford to be sent off yesterday.
Got to agree with you really. Ekwah and Evans probably play that role that better than him, much as I rate Neil. Was always going to be tough when he went off.

The meltdown on here, it might not be a derby to you but the reaction to defeat is priceless, I was starting to believe the hype, big club, gonna smash boro and any other team who you play, in reality, loads of empty seats and not a great performance even with 11 men on the pitch.
How can boro fans mention empty seats? Even when loads of people piled out there was still more people in the ground than your home games get

What’s your mission like ?

To be the worlds
Longest nipple ?

Dickhead.

Didn't realise you had two sent off.
In the same fixture last season, we (wrongly imo) had a player sent off and a penalty given against us whilst the score was 0-0.
Similar thing happen to you yesterday .
Surely there should be some sort of plan in place , in case anything goes wrong (sending off, injury etc).

There's players getting sent off most weekends, it doesn't always drastically affect the outcome of matches - it's up to managers etc to cope with the situation.
Seaham , I like you as a poster .

You did us yesterday , no complaints from me.

However , last game I was level with what happened . It was a penalty and a red , end of.

Trying to be balanced here. If Neil probably did fully connect with your lad, there’s a strong chance it could’ve been a red. Said on other threads do any of us know what was definitively said between him and the ref to get the second yellow? Seemed harsh on face of it.

Boro took full advantage so no complaints. Hopefully with us having such a young squad we learn from it and quickly.

Yeah, I think you're wrong....Boro were on top because of their tactics onto ours

Fair enough each to their own, but genuinely think we sat back more, like when we played Southampton, and tried to hit them on the break.

What I would say is that I didn’t think playing ba almost as a second striker worked - I’d have swapped Robert’s and Ba round. Boro managed to played around our press at first, but towards the end of the first half we seemed to begin to win the ball higher up.

Ridiculous studs up challenge? The one where your player was barely touched and a deserved yellow card was dished out? Running up to and swearing at the ref? Where he stood ten feet away and used the word fuck, toward but not at the ref who then ran toward the player? Aye, you’re accurate apart from all of that you complete balloon 😂. That’s before we even get into the persistent fouling with nowt being done, deserved second yellows not being given and deliberate elbow to Ballards face from your lot. You got the majority of decisions from a shite ref which allowed you to push on and win a game that was well balanced and could well have gone either way otherwise. Take your three points, your two heads and shuffle off back to your toxic wasteland. We’ll see who ends up where at the end of the season. I’m confident enough we’ll be above you come May.
