We were not great second half but I think Mowbray got the tactics wrong- trying to sit and hit it long was never going to work, especially having taken the centre forward off. Would have been better to gamble and go all out, our squad is much better suited to that. That said he couldn’t win really, would have been criticised either way. ( unless we got a result).

Agree with this about what we done in the second half. When we went to 10 against Ipswich we just kept playing our game and handled it really well. Just lumped it long and lost it very time , so we are always on the back foot chasing the ball about while boro used the extra man. But it’s done with now

Are you seriously suggesting that in that last 90 minutes Neil was the only player to swear and suggest a something was a foul?

Absolute bollox, if that's the standard now then every game will have at least 1 player Sent off

He wasn’t imported to be fast tracked. He moved over for him or his lasses work/uni. He was an a league ref so he came in the lower leagues and worked up. We had him before as he came up and he was pretty good ( we might even have been his first game in England). He was a f***ing disaster today like

This really. I said at the time it would cost us. He makes us tick in the middle of the park, does a lot of running and dirty work.

Deserved 1st booking, but an utterly stupid 2nd which cost us the game. We don't have the personnel to adapt when we go a man down.

Just so frustrating as we failed to convert chances. Roberts had to score. Ba and Hume might have if they hit the target.

Too many refs who think they're the main character these days and he was one of them. I'm convinced that a lot of them come to SOL with an attitude of "I won't be swayed by the big home crowd" and end up tying themselves in knots with inconsistent decisions. The amount of fouls Boro got away with compared to us was a joke - trips, shirt pulls etc. Him and the linesmen were just guessing by the end. Complete shite and ruined a decent game that could have gone either way second half.
