The ref (see PGMOL thread)

If Neil was sent off for that technically it’s the rules however the inconsistency of referees are unbelievable, they don’t follow fuck all.

Ref criticism is needed more they get protected like a mafia informant.

The refs ancestors were clearly put on the convict boat from Sunderland he hated us.
There's no technically about it , it is the rule , he applied the rule,he is wrong if he does and he's wrong if he doesn't, you can't have it both ways , they should apply the rule all the time , Neil was out of order and rightly got punished.

That he said "That's a f***ing free kick".

Aye as I've said just don't swear at the ref and you won't be booked. But there has to be consistency from the ref. He can't pick and choose when he wants to book a player off based on what level of swearing it was.

You just have to look at the Cardiff match & Championship games every week.

For some reason (only known to the Ref) he decided to send Neil off for dissent. By the letter of the law it’s a yellow. However for some reason he has chosen to ignore other bookable offences in until and after that point in todays game.
Yeah like Boro players pulling ours back, twice.

Was poor, inconsistent, and one-sided. Apart from that he was shite. Fast-tracked? Needs to get sent back to where he was fast-tracked from.

The general standard of refereeing is poor. And even when they have the technology, they still cock it up. The game is a shambles these days.

They used to say players were the prima-donnas, but this one was up there with them. Grinning like a cretin.

So you believe the ref got all the decisions right?
No, I have never said that at all. We don't know what Neill said to him but if it's dissent, it's bookable, and he should have kept his gob shut as was already, rightly, booked.

It is not the rule at all. Its a warning, not a caution. There is no evidence Neill received any warning today about dissent.

He wasn't swearing at the ref.He was using an expletive as a adjective. Saying "You're f***ing useless" is dissent. What Dan said is what's usually called industrial language, and refs normally ignore it.

Well done you f***ing prick. Absolutely destroyed what was decent game of football.

I don’t mind getting beat but the amount of times dissent goes unpunished and this **** decides to make point just before half time.
This is entirely predictable.

Years and years on here I read refs been too soft and not standing up to players calling them and been called soft pricks.

Yet when he does stands up to players guess what he is still a prick!!!

No wonder refs can’t win!!

Refs should stand up to players calling them but of course not to Sunderland players!!!

For the first couple of weeks everyone booked for dissent, then for 2 months nothing, then suddenly a Sunderland player gets sent off for it.

The officials are killing football

This.

We saw Pritchard booked for rolling the ball 5 yards past a Crewe player when they had a free kick. I've seen countless players kicking the ball away since and no yellow card.

I didn't see the memo about everything going back to how it was.
