Boro thread

Prior to the sending off it was pretty even. We had more corners and 1 more shot on target. You had more possession 51% to 49%. Good tight game.
Following that we did really well. I've seen teams struggle against 10 men many times but we passed it well and stretched you out wide. Superb text book approach on how to beat 10 men.
To be honest 4 weeks ago I was dreading this fixture , thought we would get hammered the way we were playing (and the way you were playing) . A day ago I was confident of a draw. Really happy with the win

Bollocks, we were better in the 1st half and poor in the 2nd.

All brought about cos of Gibson's mate the ref.

Several boro players swore at the ref, nothing happened, boro players were kicking Clarke nothing happened.

It does following the bindippers and spuds debacle show that ref decisions are a lottery, or bribed?

The meltdown on here, it might not be a derby to you but the reaction to defeat is priceless, I was starting to believe the hype, big club, gonna smash boro and any other team who you play, in reality, loads of empty seats and not a great performance even with 11 men on the pitch.

I thought the first half was even, both looked dangerous. The way we capitulated in the second half was worrying. Boro could easily have scored more.
Similar. First 15 I was a bit worried, then Clarke started to get more involved and I felt we would go in maybe 1 nil at half time. I haven’t seen the Neill 1st yellow, people suggesting could have been a red ? Overall , I didnt want half time as I felt it was coming.

Then the 2nd half , Jesus. Hurts more for me than the Stoke clobbering last year, but I will just say to the Smoggies , yeh 12 men beat 10 men shocker.

Mate we were comfortable and looked the most likely to score by far. Am not a happy clapper either
Pretty even first half, Sunderland had the best chance with Roberts after a brilliant run should have buried it...second half Sunderland down to 10 men Boro kept the ball made Sunderland work hard, stretched them wide and got the rewards.

I agree with everything you say apart from yous being the better team in the first half. It was 50/50 at best. What I’m tying to do is let one of your 26,000 fans known Middlesbrough are a small time club from Yorkshire.
when was the last time you were in a european final

It was all SAFC until the sending off. Dan Neil won it for you not the ref. Best of luck for the rest of the season apart from us at your place obviously.
good god what game were you watching
County Durham and wearside is like 800k for one club Cleveland is 700k for 3 500k for us 800k for you. That’s why. Is what is 26,000 for the championship is a decent gate, Sunderland are a bigger club than us who are a medium sized club but it’s not at all relevant to todays result is it
450 k for cleveland mate don't give them ammo.
