First half XG double yours. Says enough. Yous we’re onit like illl give you that but we were easily the better side. The result as I say, was decided by the referee blatant incompetence. You wouldn’t have won without the red. Enjoy the day though, I’m still fairly confident we’ll challenge at the very top with a squad not decimated with injuries. We’ll see though.

We have been near the top of the XG table all season even when we were losing - I went to most of those games and we were not the team in control, trust me.

You weren't in control of the game in the first half. Neither were we.
 
Prior to the sending off it was pretty even. We had more corners and 1 more shot on target. You had more possession 51% to 49%. Good tight game.
Following that we did really well. I've seen teams struggle against 10 men many times but we passed it well and stretched you out wide. Superb text book approach on how to beat 10 men.
To be honest 4 weeks ago I was dreading this fixture , thought we would get hammered the way we were playing (and the way you were playing) . A day ago I was confident of a draw. Really happy with the win

I hate what footy has become when these new young uns look at "xG" and claim one team was better because of it. First half they were the better team but we had a better big chance

Totally agree. xG doesn't indicate anything else other than quality of chances created.

Blackburn battered us this season but we had a higher xG. It means nothing.

Its beyond pathetic i agree. If neil was abusing him excessively or calling him a kernt etc then fair enough

He said thats a f***ing foul and got sent off. What a weapon that ref is
 
The ref changed the game, but even taking into consideration being down to ten men we were disgracefully bad second half.
