VARguments

If it improves the system and communication then it's worth it.

Like @Grumpy Old Man said, why just say check complete? Say what the decision is like check complete for offside or goal etc.

Don't rugby explicitly say checking for a try etc.
Been just as bad errors with VAR though that didn't get overturned like that wolves penalty claim.

It just got forgot about

It should all be improved... at least with the wolves penalty it was a subjective call so can half be understood. This is a black or white decision.

You like many others are just going on silly because it's Liverpool. It's completely irrelevant and if it was Newcastle it was still be a disgraceful error.

along with the crap kick off times, VAR is the main reason i'm not as enthralled about getting promoted as i used to be

i'll enjoy the journey, but the destination really isn't filling me with excitement

every single week, without fail, theres some VAR controversy. and lots of big threads about it on here. and we haven't even been involved in it yet. its going to utterly dominate all the post-match talk every single week.
I agree, having to put up with VAR and the clowns trying to figure out how to work it doesn't fill me with joy tbh

I can see why they're getting their knickers in a twist. The whole basis of VAR was to make things matter of fact, rather than the opinion of a linesman or referee. On top of the fact they've said they want to see more goals in games (haven't seen the official quote on this, but i'm paraphrasing).

This is going to play out like the usual woe is me scouse mentality though. The world is against them and it's Liverpool vs The World. Sitting in the top 4/5 of the premier league must be so hard.

I genuinely hope VAR does it to Newcastle, would make me week

Replay Op 'Onfield decision is offside, are you happy with that?
VAR Assistant 'Yeah'
Replay Op 'Are you happy with this?'
VAR Assistant 'Offside, goal, yeah...that's wrong that Daz'

 Wtf were they doing in that Var room!

The VAR of VAR. Guess what's coming next year. Absolute gibberish the whole mess. People have got trains to catch, places to be. Bin this pointless, self indulgent, shitly executed crap.

Surely, 'make it sound professional " would have been somewhere on the missions and goals flip chart.
