Just as well it’s not a decision for MCC to make then. I doubt the ICC will agree with this. Or cricket supporters, or the players, or anyone else that matters.
 
Mixed views on him, there's definitely a bit of smarm and I couldn't stand his commentary but I met him when I was a teenager and he was really pleasant tbh. He also wrote a fantastic foreword in Robin Smith's autobiography which was very heartfelt.

That said, he can fuck off playing ODI cricket every 4 years while we litter the international calendar with pointless T20 rubbish.
 
So this snobbish elitist twit has taken over from Stephen nonce Fry which is another bad appointment for cricket in my book.
So as long as Eton gets to play Harrow at Lords every year the rest of cricket following plebeians can just f**k off
