Thought as much, post match he said they get the var replays up in the gantry before everyone else and he could tell it was offside. Why in his commentary he said the exact opposite god only knows then.

Both have been shown to get it wrong, the linesman in real time at least has the excuse that it's hard to judge whether he's onside or not simply being able to press pause and draw some lines should be easy to work it out.
