VARguments

they've judged the offside against the nearest full back and completely missed the centre half playing him onside as they've tried to get the game going again quickly. They've then realised there's a centre half possibly playing him on and have spent the rest of the game trying to find inches here and there to justify the offside. International broadcasters have beaten them to it, drawn their own lines, shown them up to be the clowns that they are and so the PGMOL have thrown together a statement to try and save themselves.

An absolute shit show.

It's not even a problem with var. It's the clueless buffoons running it and you'll still have the regulars on here defending these shambolic disgraceful referees
Well no you wrong there mate, when people defend referees it is normally in championship games or games where a decision has to be made with one look and one angle I.e not VAR.

Nearly all if not all are defendable under therm circumstances.

However with VAR it is a different kettle of fish altogether and no where near defensible

I think you will find nobody defending what happened tonight as it can’t be defended

That statement is a disgrace. How the hell can VAR just not intervene?

You can ping one in from 40 yards and they'll check everything yet something like that doesn't get checked.
I think the argument could be if a flag goes up then defender/goalkeeper may not try to stop the goal the same.
Shitshow though.
The flag did go up didn't it, was in pub and couldn't hear commentary

I thought the technology had been enhanced to reduce the reliance on human intervention?

Also, why don’t they show every borderline offside with the lines drawn where it impacts a decision?

I’m sure neville said during the game when looking at the replay he might be slightly off ?

They’ve probably had his commentary on in the var room and just went with that rather than actually checking.

Flag went up after the goal. No idea why VAR didn't check though.
