Kalvin Phillips signing for Manchester City

He was never good enough for Man City a very strange signing

Will be playing for Forest in 2yrs time
Agree, he reminds me of an old fashioned centre half who has been stuck in central mid as an experiment. His first thought is always to go backwards or sideways as he doesn't really have the ability to receive the ball on the half turn or the technique to play himself out of trouble.

Always thought his signing was a knee jerk reaction by Pep to what happened in the last few minutes in the semi against Real Madrid.

Gets where wind winnit atm does Shay Given. Is he strapped for cash?

That’s the problem, none of these players need to go out and find first team football because that tit Southgate will pick them no matter what.

It stinks

I never thought I'd see the day when someone would be on TV more than Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink when he was managing Burton Albion.

Shay is giving him a good run for his money lately!

Far too good to be dropping that far down. He'll get a good move to a top half PL side, presuming he'll compromise on wages.

If his agent is any good (which his current wage would suggest) they'll get City to pay the difference in wages until the end of his current contract.

City need 4 association trained and 4 club trained players for their champions league squad.

Really the reason he signed albeit they ain't just signing 4 Scott Carson's so they still signed him in the hope he'd play more part than he has.

Delph and Sinclair some other examples in the last 10 year.
