Total Sport tonight

He stated KLD owned 51%. Fact. And I don't know how 41% could be a controlling interest but I'll stand corrected if true.
Ok the rest are opinions, but when i offered my opinions they were shot down as incorrect. We should all be allowed our opinions.
My opinion is that he could well trouser some of the cash raised off players if they are successful under ' the model '. He's hardly likely to come out and say that he will. The reason why I think that is because he won't spend (a reported )30k to ensure our fans don't get hit with missiles from above. You don't think he would take money out of the club. That is your opinion and I hope you are right.
It was 41%, and the 41% was a controlling interest. That's a fact. Canny embarassing for yourself there.

The others are just guesses and opinions - surely everybody gets guesses wrong? The thing @Grumpy Old Man was referring to in this thread, like the controlling interest, is a fact. It would presumably show on the accounts if the owners were taking money out of the club.

So the things he gets wrong are opinions, and due to that any facts he states must be wrong?

You're asking for examples why he won't - why will he take money out the club? He hasn't yet, he hasn't said it's his intention to - what are you going off?

Given a lot of us (including myself) are happy that we've managed to get £10m for a lad thats spent over a quarter of his time with us injured, is expected to be injured for another 2 month, and has played 13 games in the Championship at his highest level at 27 year old is a great deal for the club, I've got to disagree.

We shouldn't be giving an injury prone striker that's relatively unproven at this level a long contract on £30k a week - I've said it countless times before he was even rumoured to be going to Southampton. It's deals like that that get clubs in massive messes that they struggle to recover from. I was canny gutted when it was announced the deal could be off if I'm honest as that's how good I thought the deal to sell him was.

It takes confidence from Speakman and/or KLD not to panic and fold under pressure (which is likely what Stewart's agent expected) and give in to demands. It's happened too many times to SAFC in the past and it's great to see it won't any longer.

The club is on the up.

Got to disagree about Stewart.
He was absolutely magnificent for us . The best centre forward we have seen in the last 15 years or so. He had everything, running the channels, holding the ball up, fantastic work rate, good finisher and our best defender at set pieces in our box.
He had 11 goals in 12 +3 appearances before getting injured a couple of days before the transfer window closed.
In my opinion, his injury has clouded a lot of people's view on him.
A day before the Fulham game I don't think there would be any Sunderland supporter who didn't want him to get a new contract and paid what he was worth.
Our board saw fit to not offer him a new contract. Nobody could have seen that injury coming.
It's probably worked out well for us but that is hindsight

The easiest way to take money out of the club would be to pay himself a massive salary - why isn't he doing that?

If he wanted to take money out of club, why were we turning down bids left, right, and centre for Clarke, Roberts, Ekwah etc? Whilst simultaneously adding extra players to our large squad.

These are things that fly in the face of what you're suggesting his intention is - without any evidence, either.

It's worth noting that his injury against Fulham is the same injury as Hudson-Odoi. He's went from being linked with $40m moves to Bayern Munich before the injury (Bayern actually lowered their offer to £20m whilst he was injured to tempt Chelsea) to going to Nottingham Forest for £3m this Summer.

It's the same injury that John Barnes had too - he went from scoring 15-20 a season to barely reaching 4 or 5. Ruben Loftus Cheek went from a promising England international to never playing for England again after he suffered it. When Koscielny had the injury he was soon shipped off from Arsenal to Bordeaux once recovering and was then relegated with them.

You'll struggle to find an outfield player that wasn't significantly worse off after having the injury that RS has - obviously the 4 above are fairly noticeable declines though.

Each to their own, but he wasn't worth the risk at all - the £10m just settled it. Not offering a new long term contract - especially for £30k a week - was the sensible decision imo.

The stick Marco gets is way OTT imo. Some of the other pundits just agree with all the callers, even if two in a row say completely opposite things! Darren Williams, for example, and bless him, but he says “you know” a ridiculous amount of times.

Brady is always an interesting listen, but I like how Marco is prepared to challenge people and disagree with them.

And so what if he has affection for Derby. He played as much for them as us and their fans hold him in high esteem also.

And why should he drive from York to Newcastle every night for a two hour show, when he can patch in remotely perfectly fine?!
Fair points

Time will tell

Was he fuck. You little Pritchites really need to get a hold. If he's as good as you all think why isn't he starting and where were all the bids from the Premier league clubs and wealthy championship clubs to take your hero away - apparently hes been trying to leave for sometime. It's pathetic, there'll be some hysterical bitch along in minute telling me I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, oh hang that was earlier in the thread. Unfortunately for you boys when the 4 new lads are up to speed you won't be seeing much of your boy and those of us who watch football with our eyes open, not closed and with our fingers crossed, will breath a huge sigh of relief.
That is a pathetic post for a so-called supporter to post. You're a proper little bitch, aren't you?

Re Stewart - is it not the case that the nature of injury is so risky that he could very easily become a poorer player as a result? So for us to cash in on £8m rising to £10m / £12m (different sources) on someone with that injury is too good an opportunity to pass up?

Doesn't come across as a very nice person. I'm a bit upset tbh.

Think not little man, just a fan wanting the real stars of our team to receive the accolades.

As usual Billy boy and your good self won't contradict any of the facts/stats (previous posts) but each to their own.

The vitriol and anger in so many of his posts about Pritchard suggest he’s someone who’d never give him the lickings of a dog simply in order to maintain his somewhat unfounded criticism of a player who has served Sunderland superbly on and off the pitch.

Pritchard has made a positive impression each time he has come into a game this season which highlights that he’s a good pro as his treatment is one thing I’d criticise the club for and if he wasn’t of good character could easily have gone into his shell.

What’s the ‘wild’ in Hetton about anyway? Yikes, let’s all be scared. SAFC OK.

He's seemingly been told a year in advance that we won't be renewing his contract, and therefore won't stand in his way if he wants to leave. We haven't ostracised him, he's still getting game time and is involved. Would it be better if we completely blindsided him and then told him 2 weeks before the end of the season, giving him absolutely no time to figure out what he's doing?

I'm not quite sure why Sarah rang there. She didn't seen to have any real questions or talking points.
