Total Sport tonight

10 hours a week (excluding match day coverage) of utter drivel.

Most of the callers (both SAFC and NUFC) are as thick as a castle wall. Most sound like callers into Alan Partridges show.

Anything even slightly controversial or a topic that bucks the cosy trend gets glossed over.

I don’t know how he keeps his job with them. He rarely attends games to my knowledge, clearly doesn’t watch all that closely given his comments and is enamoured more by another club.

There’s plenty of well like ex SAFC that are able to communicate well, live in the area, are clued up and available. The stand ins for Gabbiadini are usually a better listen.

Superb player for the club mind.
Kieran Brady should be on permanently. He’s excellent, articulate, balanced and well informed.

How does the owner take money out of the club? Does he receive a salary? Via dividend? I'm relying on @Grumpy Old Man to help.

They've not taken a salary so far (unlike some previous owners charging "management fees"). The only other legal way to get money out of a company is via dividend. As I've previously pointed out, the last time the club paid a dividend, Keith Collings was chairman. In any event, the club, particularly SAFC (any dividends would have to be paid from there into Sunderland, and then on to Mercator), doesn't have distributable reserves from which to pay one. It may look like there are reserves which could be used, but these are in non-distributable. Any one claiming the owners are siphoning cash out are spouting utter bollocks at best, or, potentially, libel.

Thanks Grumpy. Too many people making unsubstantiated claims so it's best to question everything. Trouble is, itks tend to avoid answering when asked to back up their claims.

1/ When Ross Stewart got injured in January I suggested he won't be fit until October. He said this was incorrect, it was a partial rupture and would be back for pre season.
2/ He stated as fact that KLD had a controlling interest (ie 51%of the shares) when it emerged that at that point he only had 40%. KLD lied to us
3/ When Stewart was getting linked with Boro, Stoke and Blackburn etc he suggested that journalists were financially ignorant bufoons and he wouldn't be sold to a championship club.
Enough for you?.
Now provide me with examples of how KLD won't line his pockets with profits from future player sales
Any examples? Maybe you're a better accountant and are just hiding it?

I don't understand why they don't have that Scottish lad on for your lot.

Can't remember his name but he's very articulate and seems to talk some sense.

Gabbiadini dug himself into a right hole last night like!

f***ing hell you’d think some will only be happy when Ekwah leaves just to say ‘ didn’t I tell you ‘ 🙄

Well getting someone to talk sense about Saudi Utd is impossible ! They’re all up the hoops of the regime to be critical

Thats a bit harsh and very cheap mate .its fans wanting to discuss their respective clubs and it aint panorama..... as far as im aware you don't need an iq test to be a fan of a footballing club?.......... you appear to have all the equipment for a long enjoyable journey spelunking up your own arse..so carry on your journey but please leave those lesser mortals get on with the job of supporting their club any way hey want. The only problem i have with newcastle radio is the obvious bias towards newcastle mainly highlighted by the radio frequency commentary change last year.

It was 41%, and the 41% was a controlling interest. That's a fact. Canny embarassing for yourself there.

The others are just guesses and opinions - surely everybody gets guesses wrong? The thing @Grumpy Old Man was referring to in this thread, like the controlling interest, is a fact. It would presumably show on the accounts if the owners were taking money out of the club.

So the things he gets wrong are opinions, and due to that any facts he states must be wrong?

You're asking for examples why he won't - why will he take money out the club? He hasn't yet, he hasn't said it's his intention to - what are you going off?

When he came on he was the best player on the pitch against Southampton.
Was he fuck. You little Pritchites really need to get a hold. If he's as good as you all think why isn't he starting and where were all the bids from the Premier league clubs and wealthy championship clubs to take your hero away - apparently hes been trying to leave for sometime. It's pathetic, there'll be some hysterical bitch along in minute telling me I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, oh hang that was earlier in the thread. Unfortunately for you boys when the 4 new lads are up to speed you won't be seeing much of your boy and those of us who watch football with our eyes open, not closed and with our fingers crossed, will breath a huge sigh of relief.
