At the very least we had the inkling this point would come, it's cushioned by the fact he's been injured and not scoring week in week out, that scenario would be really bad. As it is 10 million for a player, soon to be out of contract and arguably injury prone, its palatable.

Yep he’s done well for him, in the end it’s just another strip in another stadium and in 10 year no one will care and he will be set up for life, I’m grateful for his goals here and he was very good for us, but now here’s gone and the cynical part of me hopes he fails miserably 😳

He’s made his position clear by allowing us to rehabilitate him through the last 8 months, without accepting any deal we’ve offered.

Thanks for the memories and all that, but I actually find myself way more emotional about Gooch’s exit than I do about Stewart’s.

And Gooch has done it with a bit of class.

Gutted tbh.

He’s our star man and we’ve been waiting for his return for so long.

The lads we’ve brought in have a lot to live up to and I’m not convinced they’ll do it. Hopefully I’m wrong.

I'm the opposite to be honest. I hope he goes on to be a PL striker, he's good enough to do it and I assume we get more money if he does well than if he does shit.

Always thought he could do it, and to be totally honest I assumed someone would take him off our hands at some stage. Just wish he'd stayed healthy, we'd have got twice as much.
