Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

be people calling him worse than shite when it's officially announced

fair play to him. will have got a big wage increase and is very likely to get promoted. and will have another bonus heading his way for that no doubt. the move makes absolute sense for him

wish him well and will look out for how he gets on

Oh well, has nothing but my best wishes tbh, scores a lot of goals for us and some bloody important ones too. Get that bag 💰 big fella xx
Same, hardest working striker ive seen at this club, fired us out of league 1 and started strong in the championship, think the lads playing premier league football next season. Not a single game for the lads did i ever feel like he didnt give everything for the lads.
Got the best deal for himself, a good deal for the club too

Be interesting to see how he copes with the £10m price tag, we have a few in our squad who couldn’t cope with the big money tag and we benefitted from that.

This, don't really get the anger directed at him. It could well be his last chance to earn some good money mixed with being at a club who are looking good for promotion, we made a big profit on him and he played a crucial role in getting us in the Championship.

What would have been a more acceptable amount?
Anything above what we get would be by definition more acceptable. Think he’s worth an easy £15-20m personally as he’s such a good player potentially, but just my view. Bigger problem is losing him because we were too tight to pay him a proper wage when he was clearly a very strong player for our level.

Will undoubtedly be a success in the premier league imo, probably for Southampton, and £10m will look like peanuts in a year or two
