Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

be people calling him worse than shite when it's officially announced

fair play to him. will have got a big wage increase and is very likely to get promoted. and will have another bonus heading his way for that no doubt. the move makes absolute sense for him

wish him well and will look out for how he gets on
Exactly, would shake his hand, decent footballer with a chance to set himself up, not like the greedy b******s selling souls to allow the Saudis to take over the world so they have "generational" wealth

Signed for 500k
Scored important goals
Sells for 10mil when crocked and nearing the end of his contract

All round brilliance from speakman
I'm trying to keep up with the tweets.

£10 million for an injury risk is something I'd snatch Southampton's hands off for.

This deal for Stewart has been like a pair of Geordie lass's knickers.

Inabit Ross. Take your greedy twat of an agent with you. Hope your not half the player you were.

Grow up man. You’d obviously turn down a job you were offered doing the same job you’re doing now for four times as much.

Thought not.

Why should contracts in football mean more than the one you signed?

Hate when people think footballers doing a job should be more loyal than anyone else.

We are fans, it’s his job

Anything above what we get would be by definition more acceptable. Think he’s worth an easy £15-20m personally as he’s such a good player potentially, but just my view. Bigger problem is losing him because we were too tight to pay him a proper wage when he was clearly a very strong player for our level.

Will undoubtedly be a success in the premier league imo, probably for Southampton, and £10m will look like peanuts in a year or two
What a stupid reply man, so a fiver more is by definition more acceptable is it. Stewart also had no intention of signing a new contract with Sunderland.
