Same, hardest working striker ive seen at this club, fired us out of league 1 and started strong in the championship, think the lads playing premier league football next season. Not a single game for the lads did i ever feel like he didnt give everything for the lads.Oh well, has nothing but my best wishes tbh, scores a lot of goals for us and some bloody important ones too. Get that bagbig fella xx
Not arsed, he’s played a massive role in getting us promoted and is finally getting a well paid gig at 27, I’m grateful for all he’s done. No point going on like spoilt bairns.Wasnt here 5 minutes man

July 2016, but shows that statements have been put out before on deals that don’t get over the line. When was that from?
This, don't really get the anger directed at him. It could well be his last chance to earn some good money mixed with being at a club who are looking good for promotion, we made a big profit on him and he played a crucial role in getting us in the Championship.be people calling him worse than shite when it's officially announced
fair play to him. will have got a big wage increase and is very likely to get promoted. and will have another bonus heading his way for that no doubt. the move makes absolute sense for him
wish him well and will look out for how he gets on
An incredibly important legacy to our club. Thank you RossWasnt here 5 minutes man
Signed for 500k
Scored important goals
Sells for 10mil when crocked and nearing the end of his contract
All round brilliance from speakman
What would have been a more acceptable amount?Low fee for such a high potential player, very poor business for me and a massive missed opportunity for this club
No chance. He’ll hoy on a Southampton shirt and never get injured ever again. There’s absolutely nothing to say his return will be injury free going forward as well, every chance he’s back on the sidelines before Christmas.
Anything above what we get would be by definition more acceptable. Think he’s worth an easy £15-20m personally as he’s such a good player potentially, but just my view. Bigger problem is losing him because we were too tight to pay him a proper wage when he was clearly a very strong player for our level. What would have been a more acceptable amount?
