How was Lucas renny? @Kingdom Bhoy
Been years since I've seen him live

He was excellent some quality new songs too.
Hes supporting Barry Hyde tomorrow. Anybody know if there’s much Golden Virgins in his set lists?

It was all his solo stuff last night.

I thought Lucas Renney Dave Hyde the Brewis brothers and Barry Hyde were playing in the same band tomorrow?

Band of Friends?

Barry Hyde was brilliant last night. It was all quite moving and inspiring. The new songs were all about our mining traditions here in the NE. His band - his brother and Peter and David Brewis were tremendous. He's a very talented boy, is Barry.

The last 2 songs as it turned out
Was an excellent night. Be interesting to see where the project goes. Could there be a shipbuilding one too?

Enjoyed Lucas Renney too. Obviously hearing Golden Virgins songs again is a belter.

Lucas warmed up as it went on but he was a bit precious about people not talking. You have to earn people's attention. Barry, on the other hand, was brilliant with his chat. He was obviously nervous but much more natural and self effacing. But the GV songs at the end were great.

Never been impressed by the audience talking during the gig particularly acoustic sets the really should show some respect.

Pop recs is a decent venue but getting a drink is a fuckin joke, the queue is passing by itself in a circle. A can/bottle bar in the cafe would be a massive help.
Mind, I’ve never had any bother. Was sold out last night & got served pretty quick everytime.

However, your can/bottle bar wouldn’t be a bad addition at all. Just get a load of Vaux gear in & sell it from their anyway.
