Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Great bit of business.
Now, invest the money wisely.
Hopefully we'll get something for Gooch and Pritchard who are in the last years of their contracts and Pritchard has been a bit of a moaner and upset a few and Gooch we have better.
Who has Pritchard upset?

Not his fault we won't pay him what the market will bear. No problem with a professional getting the best deal for himself, my problem is with the ownership who are letting him go.

Great player for us so glad he has the pay day he wanted. I'm also happy for Ross County getting a big windfall too.
As for us? We'll at least it's sorted now and we can move on. I still think Cannon will be coming in.

How's that, the model would never revolve around selling your best players at the point of having 12 months left on a contract. If you honsetly believe we will uncover another Stewart for £100k anytime soon you're welcome to that thought marra.
We will have to spend the money and hope whoever we get fits in.
Lee Johnson “found” RS. Not SAFC. Id be a lot more optimistic with KS & Co had found the decent players they have without outside influence. LJs cousin is PRs GF frinstance plus Brian Marwood pushed him our way anarl.

You'd have to be a special kind of cretin to boo him.

Been a phenomenal player for us and as far as we know has been a top pro throughout his time at the club, this is probably his last chance of a big contract so can't blame him at all for leaving under the circumstances. Absolutely gutted mind.

Spot on. We owe him a lot more than he owes us. No brainier for him to go there, earn what he’s worth and have a chance at the prem.

Also worth mentioning that this profit - and all the goals he scored whilst he was here - are a feather in the cap of LEE JOHNSON.

Our recruitment team had fuck all to do with identifying Stewart. Johnson was aware of him and had watched him play before he arrived at SAFC.

FFS man, it just keeps getting worse. Did you have to remind me of that

We'll use the LND money to bring in a couple of promising 12 year olds, and keep them well stocked with comics and sweets, until they're 18, when they'll be then loaned out to the likes of Rochdale and Blyth Spartans (respectively) for a couple of years.

I'm shocked Southampton are paying so much for a player who is still recovering from a bad injury and is out of contract in a year's time. Shows how much money these parachute clubs have swilling about.

Can't blame the club for accepting the bid tbh but I will blame them if they don't have suitable replacement lined up.
