Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Irreplaceable, at least not for the money we will have got. They will obviously spend nowhere near that on a replacement as they would have just paid him the wages he wanted if so. We've lost the best striker in the division because the owners are determined to have one of the smallest wage bills. I firmly believe he would have gotten us promoted last season and this season if he was fit. The way Mowbray is talking he is fed up too, like Alex Neil. We are going nowhere soon under these owners, their plan is to run the club on a shoestring and buy cheap players then flip them for a profit, if we get promoted it's a happy accident and not something they are focusing on. The team is weak all over, no decent strikers, no back ups at left or right wing, no proper defensive midfielder, playing a midfielder at center back, no decent back up at right back. All the excitement, enthusiasm, and hope built up last season is well and truly gushing away for me and I predict years of meandering around midtable championship. One step forward, two steps back.

Watching the telly and the great British bake off advert's just come on playing Stewart's tune ffs. In bits here. Why Lord, why us!?

The mags are playing in Milan and we've never been there, none of us, no one from the whole of Wearside.

Could be worse. You could be currently in Scotland in an apartment with a view over a Loch.

I’ve had to shut the curtains.

Farewell to the lad with best wishes (for him, not Soton).

I'll always be thankful for the Sheffield Wednesday play off goal. It got one little un hooked and one dad loving it again. For the former especially I owe LND.

It's a crying shame that it's come to this, but life goes on.

I asked this before to someone who ignored it.

How do you know what they offered? Is it in the footballers salaries shop?
Haway marra, we know for a fact he's gone for a decent wage. He wanted to stay but the club could'n't match his needs, he's worth a lot more than a few grand a week to anyone but us.

unreal how many people are saying this is a good deal, we are essentially getting 6.8 million for one of the best strikers in the league

its pathetic
He’s played 1041 minutes (11.5 games) at this level with the rest of his career being below it and is fresh off the back of 2 serious injuries…how people can say with certainty he’s one of the best strikers in the division is baffling. If we were signing him people would be going mental saying he’s not proven.

If we didn’t offer him a shitty wage then who knows. We knew what he wanted other clubs were willing to pay it we weren’t.

Right, guaranteed.

What's the guarantee? We'll give you £2m at the end of the season?
2m is paid when we sell them roberts 😉

Probably as you have outlined if guaranteed , let’s say he gets a 3 yr deal, we get the upfront fee in year 1 and the remaining 2 m over the remaining 2 yrs of his deal
