Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Clarke definitely wants a move for bigger money.
Burnley offered to double his wage he wanted to take it , its only the price thats at issue.
Hopefully we don't get it at 10.30 tomorrow .

I'd like to think the club had to choose between Ross and Clarke and chose Ross. Another season like the one Clarke just had and his value doubles. This is probably as well as we could have done for a lad with only one year left.

Imagine if it was Donald sanctioning this.

Club’s being run by penny pinching amateurs from top to bottom but because they spout more bullshit than a Lee Johnson team talk folk on here have fallen for it.

Donald would have accepted the first bid of 4 million quid..in fact he would have accepted 2 mil

Best of luck to him, he played a huge part in getting us promoted. With him last season I think we’d have gone up again.

Can’t blame him wanting a big payday when he can get it, I’m more annoyed at the reported lack of a decent offer which reflects his value from our side.

The pressure is on now to replace him, and replace him properly with someone ready to step into the side and not need 12/18 months to develop or acclimatise

Could have become a legend here and took us to the prem, chose the money which is what footballs become all about, we move on
If he’s on the reported £3k a week then you can’t knock the lad for moving on. He’s 27, had recent injury issues, and needs a big move to get a decent payday before he retires/gets a final career ending injury.

I think saying that football has become all about money is true, but not right when Stewart is on £150k a year and needs to think of his future.

Good luck to the lad. Hope he’s getting a good payday. Deserves it.

Double money and a season in PL? Virtually every player would take that. They're also backing themselves to catch the eye in PL and get an even better offer from another PL club.

This what I thought would get us to sell anything up to 10m, he wasn't going to sign a new contract, 1 year left, could get injured again, how would he play when he comes back - who knows so we are getting a canny fee. Good luck to the lad and Mr Speakman your turn to do the business now!

This. It's not as if it's a promotion rival either, they'll probably be top 2 and we won't be near that imo.

You'd think they'd go up automatically. The only thing that could stop them is replacing Adams with a crock who never plays. We'll see how it pans out. It could be one of those rare situations in football where it works out best for everyone.

At the end of the day this will only be judged a success if his replacement does the business.
I find it difficult to go along with this though he’s top class for this league he’s ours and we’re selling him to a rival.I know the model and all that and they can pay the wages but it doesn’t sit right with me.
Mowbray said it in his press conference today, if the next guy comes in and starts scoring goals everyone forgets about the previous fella. All about who comes in now.
