Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

I'm.gutted but same time been on cards months now and we've coped last season without him to an extent. But the clubs movements or lack of to provide another CF is the biggest and most concerning issue, he missed 3 quarters of last season and didn't replace.

Annoyingly there are going up anyway but now it will be linked to Stewart
I backed them pre season but Russell Martin’s inability to organise a defence has seemingly followed him to that club. I think it’ll be too obvious for Saints and Leicester to be top 2 which is what many predict.

Decent fee that.

Sad he’s gone but considering only a yr left on his contract and coming back from ACL it’s probably the best we could get.

Turning 300k into £10m and signing a replacement for £2m or £3m is exactly what the model is.

This is our first real experience of how it works.

For years and years, we've pissed millions up the wall by signing players who have been useless and we've been stuck with them as damaged goods until they eventually left for nowt. We're a different animal now and players won't see us as a retirement home for failures anymore.
We’ll that’s the easy part done, replacing him is the hard part

Imagine if it was Donald sanctioning this.

Club’s being run by penny pinching amateurs from top to bottom but because they spout more bullshit than a Lee Johnson team talk folk on here have fallen for it.

I think that’s fine when you’re selling them to a club playing at a higher level. A lot of Sunderland fans were led to believe only a few months ago that we were having a go again this season, aiming for a play off place and building on last season.

Well, it’s pretty clear now that it’s not the case. No problem selling at the right time when the money is good. This only looks a half decent deal now because the club have messed it up royally 12 months ago.

At the end of the day this will only be judged a success if his replacement does the business.
I find it difficult to go along with this though he’s top class for this league he’s ours and we’re selling him to a rival.I know the model and all that and they can pay the wages but it doesn’t sit right with me.

Clarke definitely wants a move for bigger money.
Burnley offered to double his wage he wanted to take it , its only the price thats at issue.
Hopefully we don't get it at 10.30 tomorrow .

This is a much bigger concern for me. Don't want Clarke and/or Burnley getting any ideas 😂
