Rubbish. He’s had one good season and all of a sudden he has wage demands the club can’t meet. Really disappointed he didn’t sign a new contract as he could still get his move if we didn’t get promotion.
 

ah well, he'll be back up on the next one if we don't sign Cannon - canny navy museum at Portsmouth - Mary Rose and all that, if he wants to kill some time. Maybe a cycle through the New Forest to test out the leg.
 
Good move for him if it comes off, probably a three or four year deal on a lot more than he could get here. Also, although time will tell, he will probably have a better chance of promotion.

Did well for us and a rare player over the last twenty years who has been signed for a pittance and sold for millions.
 
Under normal circumstances I'd say fuck him off for as much as possible but I don't trust us to bring in anyone with the money and for them not to trouser most of it.

Presumably getting himself down there in anticipation of a deal being done.

If we get a decent fee and a replacement that’s just about the best outcome, he’s made it clear he wants to go.
