Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

If we’ve learned anything, it’s that inexperienced defenders aren’t top of the football wage or fee hierarchy. Proven goal scorers are.

Which is why we’ve got no shortage of inexperienced cheap defenders, and an increasingly famous shortage of proven less cheap goalscorers.
All i named are
More experienced at this level than stewart tbf

If thats true, then seems increasingly likely they hit a figure we are happy selling at. Hard to begrudge both parties (despite being devastated at him going) given we'd be approaching or over 10m for a player who hasnt signed a new deal and would leave for free, and Stewert would be double/treble/quadruple his wages plus long term contract and the very real prospect of premier league football next season.

smart arse , how about when Ross got injured we signed a loan , gelhartd
Wasn’t a cf
Gelhardt signed for us on the 27th January, and we played Fulham on the 28th - which is when Stewart got injured. Gelhardt was already here when Stewart got injured.

I’d be happy with that dosh.

Given his injury and contact situation anything around £6-£8m is good business. IF we bring in the right replacement.

Wouldn't surprise me, if they get a bid on the region of 5m.
Started with 5 its now at £8, shouldn’t let him go but if he’s an adamant nothing less than £20 in this present climate .

He has also been unavailable for 37 of our last 50 games.

You obviously know more than me if you can judge what a player like Ross Stewart should be getting.

You obviously know better than the SAFC scouts who have bought Hemir if he’s “utter shite” and you obviously know that neither Eliezer Mayenda and Gelhardt are centre forwards.

You must also know that the last minute breakdown of the Undav deal in January was obviously all made up.

You’re also obviously more financially in tune with the concept of running of a £26.1million football club than I am if you know that KLD is only looking at the cheap options.

You seem so wise and so confident of your opinions it leaves so little to debate on this website that I think I’ll stick you on ignore so I can least enjoy the odd surprise because you seem to know everything.

😘

He's The Amazing Criswell. :)

Wish this could have been done when the window opened. He was never going to play again for safc

It’s crazy, and one of the reason I’d like to see the window abolished or changed as it drives transfer fees up.

All a game of who will blink first out of the buying and selling of clubs with the players agents being the ones who tend to benefit the most!

I think he has to go.

Even if we don't sell is he going to perform for us knowing he's out of contract come the summer.

We try and get 10m for him but only once we have a replacement lined up.

Worst thing we could do is sell them try and buy someone
