Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Yet you use it as a stick to beat his goals tally 3 posts back. Can’t really debate with such a basic lack of intellect unfortunately. Ignore it is

I already acknowledged I don't have the equivalent figures for Gyokeres other then he missed 2 pens in 2 years. I literally already acknowledged this.

You want to give Stewart additional credit for winning a penalty he missed, but that goal is already accounted for because he got lucky with the rebound.

You're the one throwing absolutely laughable numbers around, and then went into hiding for a few hours when called on it...

He's a 27 year old striker, whose been seen less often than Shergar recently, whose got 9 months left on his contract, and he's played a dozen games at Championship level. If we get an offer of 8m+, we're probably going to take it. He's a very good CF, but he's permanently injured, won't sign a contract, and he's 27 and barely played any games at any decent level. He's a risk.

I think he’ll be away, if they haven’t accepted 6 + 1.5 then surely it can’t be far away from what they will accept. £8m would do it I would think. I’m surprised they are still holding out actually.

IF this link is correct and we can negotiate 8m for him he has to go.
It’s about the bigger picture. Yes it’s a gamble to let him go but it’s a gamble to turn down 8m.
that money can be reinvested which I’m sure with KLD it would be.

Let not forget he hasn’t signed a new contract either and we don’t know the ins and outs of that but he will be gone in 12months anyway

We’ll doubtless have a figure in mind that is the tipping point between keeping Stewart and cashing in now.

If Southampton haven’t reached that figure by offering £6.5 + £1.5m add ons they surely can’t be far away.

Huge decision for the club. Do you knock back the potential profit or stick with an excellent striker (when fit) knowing your profit margin is ever decreasing.

Mowbray was relishing having a fit Stewart with Clarke, Roberts and Dack or Bellingham just behind. If we sell him what’s the chances we’ll bring in anyone of comparable quality ?

Will give it until Friday before tearing into them but the recruitment this summer has been nothing short of a disgrace. We are a million miles from challenging for even top 6 as things stand, club is going backwards.
Couple of strikers and a defensive midfielder and I think we'd finish around 8th tbh

your right , he did get us up but this has tarnished his legacy with us unfortunately...to many smoke and mirrors by his agent....if he just said what he wanted and left it would have been much more acceptable....if he just said Im not signing any contract here as I need to move on........its a shame cos he was a hero here
Yeah, we will never know the full facts in it. It could be that we have offered him half what he could get somewhere else, or even reduced our offer after his injury which pissed him off.

I think there is fault in both sides, but I can't see him being here after Friday....probably accept £8-9million which is a good deal all round.

As long as we have a deal in place for a proven replacement BEFORE we sanction Stewart’s sale.

If we don’t then it’ll be the ‘we tried everything to get a replacement over the line, etc.’ bollocks on September 1st as clubs will know we are desperate and inflate the fees.
