Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

I think it'll go to the wire and we'll get him for ten million.
I'll say tho if rumours start ramping up between now and Friday with us and cannon he's defo gone

That's nice but incorrect I am afraid.

Fees are disclosed the majority of the time.

Here's some recents from our business that weren't frees - they are all disclosed:

Or rather than use a website that uses rumoured or believed fees you could use the official club website.

While this one does not state undisclosed it does not give a fee either.

So it’s nice but you are incorrect

Stewart didn’t come from the model it came from Brian McDermott telling Lee Johnson about him, the model hasn’t brought in a striker yet

That's stretching the truth more than a bit mind.

Johnson was about to take another job prior to joining us and in the process of having a chat with McDermott about that job and some players that could be an option, McDermott mentioned Stewart.

It was down the line then, when at SAFC and discussing transfer targets later on, Stewart's name came up.

Johnson himself admitted Speakman was looking at data about Stewart and in Johnson's own words: "so in the end the club made the decision it was the right thing to do [to make that investment]".

That story about Johnson/McDermott/Stewart is like an after-dinner speakers craic at this point and seems to grow legs every time it's told.

Disagree, as a new contract is also increasing the value of a current company asset, which ultimately every player is. You give him a new contract worth say an extra £1m a year and his value goes up £10m and offsets that and more.
Aye, that’s definitely how it works, give someone a pay rise and his value goes up😂😂

Trying to think through what the most ludicrous possible outcome would be here…

We agree £10m or thereabouts, identify a really good replacement for less than that, Stewart fails his medical, we can’t get the replacement, he signs a contract extension with us then the injury recurs within weeks of him getting back on the pitch.

If we sell him, he needs to be replaced like for like. So someone decent in the air, decent finishing, decent at holding it up, decent running behind and stretching defences, decent at pressing and closing down, which rules cannon out as a replacement

Who you got in mind?
