Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Is that the same Drummaville that didn't have a pot to piss in, and Quinny had to run about finding an investor before the club went under?....aye great plan you fool šŸ˜†

Also, if the clubs penny pinching, why have plenty of players signed new contracts?...does that suggest to you that the likes of Ballard and his agent were happy to be offered pennies whilst Premier League interest was apparent?
Although Keane promotion season was one of my best seasons ever, his premier spending was ridiculous, spunked millions on shite and a lot of them didn't get a game

We don't really have much choice.

People need to get real like and realise championship clubs are not going to really turn 8m down to lose a player for free after another 20 odd appearances.
and the best thing is they won’t replace him. Their answer to bringing in a striker for the start of the season was Hemir ,laughable , but at least he’s cheap , that’s the main thing .

A little bit of a positive/passive aggressive perspective could be that if he is indeed sold, and isn't replaced, then technically as he's injured (and has been for a significant period of time), then we're actually NO worse than we currently are. Yay!

That's nice but incorrect I am afraid.

Fees are disclosed the majority of the time.

Here's some recents from our business that weren't frees - they are all disclosed:

Where are the immediate opportunities that the lihadji money was going to enable us to sign?

They’re full of shite man.

He's worth what someone is willing to pay for him. If he's such a bargain, someone else will gazump Southampton.

He's worth nothing at the end of the season if he won't accept our contract.
And by the same token he’s worth a lot more if we stop being tight and give him the extra little bit of money he wants and we get him off the 1 year and out situation he’s in

🤣🤣🤣

Errr...no they can't. Most of the time you can't even separate out players wages from the rest of the staff.

Even with the 21/22 accounts, you will not be able to work out what any player was being paid at the time, never mind now.

Amortisation is writing off the initial cost of an asset over a period of time. Curious how you intend to use this to 'easily' predict player salaries.
Don’t recall mentioning looking at staff and player wages at any point. The wages are also rolled into the amoritisation. But I’m sure you’ll figure that out eventually

It would have been daft on our part to up his wages whilst he was injured and contributing nothing to the team.
Disagree, as a new contract is also increasing the value of a current company asset, which ultimately every player is. You give him a new contract worth say an extra £1m a year and his value goes up £10m and offsets that and more.

I do ya right.

I just don’t get caught up in all of the bullshit they spout.

Quite me if I’m wrong when the window closes
You’re miserable and pessimistic constantly. Even when things are going well you’ve got nowt good to say.

You give the impression of just wanting to say ā€œI told you soā€ and always taking the most negative view because that way you can’t lose. We either do well, or you get to go on like a twat.

Gyokeres went for €20m, which is about Ā£17m. He's also 2 years younger than Stewart, a regular in the Swedish national squad, and doesn't have a massive history of injuries.

He's also averaged 20 goals a season for the last 2 years at Championship level. Stewart has barely played at Championship level; yes he's scored a lot of goals in a small number of games, but that's a very small sample size.

Also, 3 of Stewart's 10 last season were penalties, and 1 other was a rebound of a penalty he missed. So that pads his stats a bit.

Gyokeres scored 40 goals in 2 years at Coventry, and only 3 of them were penalties.
And Gyokeres’ penalties? And ignoring the fact Stewart won 2 of the penalties

I’ve had this conversation with him before, it’s a defence mechanism as he can’t bear the hurt when the club lets him down
