Get your point and was thinking that myself, but I do think he's developed into a much better player while he's been here as well. If we want someone whos going to be straight in as our star man I think we'll do well to find a snip like that again.I mean - you can, because we did when we signed him. But your overall point is correct, for the model to work we need to make significant money on each sale.
He’s proved his value to us in all areas time and time again prior to his injury. He will not be replaced easily regardless of what money’s available.an injured player is never the the bezt in a division..what has sytewaRT actually done that piroe hasnt?
And a player can be the most talented, while also not being the most valuable..thats a distinction not really recognised on here.
I agree with that - will be another one to develop.Get your point and was thinking that myself, but I do think he's developed into a much better player while he's been here as well. If we want someone whos going to be straight in as our star man I think we'll do well to find a snip like that again.
But you can get one with two robust legs.Bit like the Kane situation isn't it? But Levy still managed to command a big fee. 6m is no good in the modern day market because you can't sign a player of even half of his ability for that price.
Still got us plenty points last season its more the point of we would need rusyn and one more which I'm not convinced we wouldWe won't win many games with a lad who's 27 and a crock either....
chelsea also do it with domestic players...We dont get any right from abroad, none of them are 1st team material. Now compare that with our signings from the UK.Clarke,Alese,Ekwah,Ballard,Hume,Cirkin,.
How will he pass a medical?
I think this is the case with his contract/injury situation on top. I would be demanding the 8 million up top and none of them add on if they get promoted, or he's top scorer etc.I'd agree if it was for a couple of million or if he had more time left on his deal, but £8m is too much to gamble on IMO.
When you look at Piroe who went for £12m despite having the same length of time left on his deal, being 3 years younger than Stewart and a track record of almost 100 games in this division versus Stewart's 13, £8m seems very fair and in line with the market rate.
well thats the issue now....if he was to be sold..sell him at the start of the indow..if he is as good as people say we would have got enough money to but gyorkes or prioe...but we cant get those now...He’s proved his value to us in all areas time and time again prior to his injury. He will not be replaced easily regardless of what money’s available.
This is exactly itIf we did that by the time the move gets done for Stewart it would leave us probably about a day to sign a replacement.
They’ve had months to sort this out I’ve got no confidence whatsoever they could do it in a day, even with extra money in the kitty.
Played about 12 games in a year and a Half. But people want us to give him 40k a week for 3 years.8m is good business for a lads that’s missed 51 games in 3 seasons and has missed a total of 369 days through injury.
Come on man you can’t be including wages and medical bills into itIf we sell for less, we will be lucky to break even after the payment to Ross County, wages, medical bills.
It also hampers our own promotion prospects if he notches goals for them.
We should be saying you're a promotion rival you're going to have to dig deep and meet our valuation. Don't waste our time with pathetic bids.
Agreed. Fly him down today if possible8m is good business for a lads that’s missed 51 games in 3 seasons and has missed a total of 369 days through injury.
I really don't understand where this 20k and 25k has come fromAbsolutely love people wishing ill on a bloke who’s offered 100% for us purely because he wants a decent contract at his age. He deserves it ffs, the club unwilling to pay 25k for a player of his ability is shit man. It’s all him though, honestly man!!
If Stewart had been fit for the play off games we would have been at Wembley. He's no slouch defensively as well as top up front.
How will he pass a medical?
I’ll judge it on the end of the window and through the season, like I did last year.Agreed. Fly him down today if possible
however it’s a complete farce , with the pathetic scouting of replacements seeing nowt but novices in 8 months
