He’s also on record as saying club have offered him a very good contract already
Not good enough, relative to other clubs at our level. Clearly.

Makes absolutely fuck all difference, but you already knew that( who have the biggest attendance in the championship)
No it can't. That's your view. You're refusing to see any other agenda. You expect the football club to pay whatever somebody wants and it won't happen. If you don't like it I hear Newcastle are offering players whatever they wantThere has been well over 500 posts on here but the whole thing about our club can summed up as follows.
If Ross Stewart comes back and starts scoring loads of goals who on here believes that our club ( who have the biggest attendance in the championship) will pay enough salary to ward off interest from other championship clubs.
I do not believe that they would and that is the nub of the problem with our club.
I trust the club to stick to their budget, which we have failed to do in the past which ended us in League One in the worst period of our whole existence as a football club, I will leave it for you to think about that.
And that is the approach adopted by all successful clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool I could go on. Name me a club that has 'stuck to its budget' and been successfulI trust the club to stick to their budget, which we have failed to do in the past which ended us in League One in the worst period of our whole existence as a football club, I will leave it for you to think about that.
Are you saying we are at Southampton's level financially? Not good enough, relative to other clubs at our level. Clearly.
What’s a high enough salary? If Stewart comes back and is firing goals in the current offer becomes null and void as Stewart knows a transfer in the summer for free gives him a massive signing on fee. The economics of everything changes if he winds down his contract and is playing wellThere has been well over 500 posts on here but the whole thing about our club can summed up as follows.

I mean come on, you are turning into a parody account nowAnd that is the approach adopted by all scuccessful clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool I could go on
...and you're absolutely correct. No its not, I meant we need anther one, as well as Rusyn.
How about brighton???And that is the approach adopted by all scuccessful clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool I could go on.
We are a HUGE club we are not a Luton or Bournemouth
The problem is if you spend what you don't have, and the owner decides that's it, you are in the shit. There's a few on here that would love that.I never thought the problem was that we spent money, the problem was we wasted it on poor players.
Then Short got pissed off and didn't want to spend anymore. But when we had that Welsh manager (briefly), if he could have bought a decent keeper and striker we may well have not sunk into L1.
I said the same thing to the OP but because he plays footy manager in his mam’s spare room he knows everything. So you've argued absolutely none of my points. If you think it's sensible to break the wage structure for a player who still hasn't recovered from a career threatening injury then I don't know what to say. Southampton could take the gamble tomorrow and financially write it off very quickly, we however can't. If you also think we should just be able to spend what we want when we want then you're also naive about the current finances. We have sold nobody of any value since the new owners came in, that simply can't be sustained. FFP means the books have to balance whether you, me or anyone else likes it. Ross has been offered a very good deal within our wage structure and he is being told he's worth more and can get it elsewhere, good for him if he does go and get it. Giving people exactly what they want without thought or consideration for consequence is exactly how the club was very very close to folding in the early league 1 years.
Cos Man City were hugely successful, offering players exactly what they want before they were bankrolled. Funny that, Newcastle fans weren't happy with their owners until they were bankrolled by the Saudi State as wellI mean come on, you are turning into a parody account now![]()
He refuses to argue any solid argument against his absolutely numb argument.I said the same thing to the OP but because he plays footy manager in his mam’s spare room he knows everything.
You need to realise we are lightyears behind any team in the prem or any team that are receiving parachute money and huge player sales. We are a HUGE club we are not a Luton or Bournemouth
We haven’t been a huge club for god knows how many years, we are a mid sized club with decent crowds. And atm the likes of Bournemouth are well ahead of us in the doing well stakesAnd that is the approach adopted by all scuccessful clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool I could go on.
