True. I’d love to have the time and money to do a place like that up. I could see an disagreement between me and the wife if we ever had millions and I quit work. She would like a lovely place which was finished and move into luxury. I’d by a run down shell of a building and live in a caravan until it was habitable.

I’d be the same in that I’d love to do a place up like this. Sadly I’m 10 years too old and 10 million too poor.

I absolutely admire the Grand Designs people who live in a caravan for two years chasing their dream. So asks Kevin how much have you got to spend? Always not enough, and How long will it take? Always too optimistic but I’d love to give it a go.

Never likely to be an issue for me anyway, but underestimating time for diy jobs is something I always do. I’ve been alternating the last couple of days between weeding the block driveway and making some storage boxes for my son. I don’t feel like I have made a huge amount of progress on either. In my mind a 2 hour session is loads, I’ll be practically done. Not in reality.

Ally Fraser would have that converted to an old people’s home in 3 months.
