IF we can bring in someone we believe is ready to replace him and IF it means we don’t have to cash in on Clarke and IF the bid is ridiculous I’d be tempted.

If we can get 9m+ out of them, for a player who may not be what he used to after injury with ten months left on his contract, it’s probably a good idea.
