I live in Manchester and Sunderland are well known around there and in the main unlike the mags have a modicum of respect. Middlesbrough aren’t even discussed ever as a NE club. Carlisle are thought more NE than Middlesbrough !!!

It’s not about geography it’s about the fact they were mentioned as a NE team as were Hartlepool but Middlesbrough didn’t even register

I follow sunderland and england in that order..dont follow or watch any other football.if a mag game was on and they were getting beat i might watch it but i would never watch a boro game unless they were playing us or beating the unwashed up the road!

My thoughts as well, though England have dropped off my radar in recent years.

Perhaps you can do a count of how many posts are from Boro supporters. I'm interested in Boro but only because I know someone who plays for them. I still don't care if they win or lose and never watch them play.

Not really, I'd say we're slightly receding with a thin pony tail that you'd see an ageing irish folk singer carry off. We have an appointment with a hair transplant specialist.
