Greenwood's future

I'm sure a spin doctor will come in and help out getting Greenwood to say he was young and made mistakes (without of course admitting anything), state that he has undergone counselling and will agree to pay a portion of his wages to women's shelters. A significant number will fall for this spin.

I don’t think you can blame the legal system here, I thought the girl or her father didn’t want to pursue charges from early on, it was the CPS pushing it.

It’s only gone away as the girl is no longer co-operating for reasons which we can speculate about but I can imagine why she has.

Does anyone expect anything different from Man Utd. Nicky Butt battered his wife and she was too scared to stand up in court. Giggs is just Giggs, an odious sex pest wife beating creep with no morals but was lucky enough to have Alex Ferguson standing up for him in court. Ferguson himself no stranger to inappropriate touching of young women in South African taxis. They even resigned 'alleged rapist' Ronaldo although we all know we don't need to use the word alleged.

Man Utd is a club full of wrong uns, all covering for one another whilst they get up to all sorts.

Photographs of her being beaten up and recordings of pressuring her into sex should be more than enough to have the lad in prison, end of, irrespective of her cooperating or not (especially when one of the charges was controlling and manipulative behaviour, and the suspect broke bail conditions and was in contact with the alleged victim) for the benefit of society and the woman in it, IMO.



The fact it isn’t is another poor reflection of the legal system that means currently less than 1% of reported rapes lead to a conviction.

He cannot play football in this country until he has shown remorse , explained himself , apologised , donated wages to charities of this type etc etc....even then it will be tough......needs to go abroad and try re-build a reputation that he is not a vile human being. Its obvious Harriette took him back because the thought of having to work for a living and not have that wag lifestyle was equally difficult for her.

if he just came out and admitted it....told us of his demons.....said he was a disgrace.......has seeked help for his actions......that he doesnt deserve any sympathy, help or plaudits until he has redeemed himself as a human being ...then that would be a start .......but no he hasnt. He has acted like a coward

How can he show remorse for something he denies doing? He won’t come out and say soz for raping ya love as then he gets nicked for confessing.
So with that in mind that he’s never gonna confess so therefore can’t show any remorse he should be cast out to live like a sex pest in his ivory tower… the justice system in this country blows

Devils advocate but we have a police force, a justice system and Man Utd have a Disciplinary system - all of these have decided not to pursue any issue yet the trial by twitter brigade rule?

The girl with drew her evidence…. Man United could lose millions it’s not rocket science, what gets me is Man U could have a claim to bladder him I assume in these multi million quid contracts there will be clauses in there about em about bringing the club into disrepute…. Would greenwood take em to court if they did as then he’d have to testify and potentially have to explain the recordings away

Look i'm no expert on this one i would admit but in the higher echelons of Premier league football with murderous regimes and gangster states owning football clubs i would suggest Mason Greenwood is not the hill to die on.

i'm not condoning a trail by twitter. i'm simply saying that i wouldn't want him playing for my football club, and if it was sunderland in this case and the club decided to play him again i think i'd either protest against it, boycott, or boo the fuck out of the daft c*nt every time he touched the ball

i've heard the recording, i'm not really sure how else someone is supposed to react to it?
