It’s interesting, I’ve seen much older players come back into the game after a year without a club etc and still be able to play to a decent level, Greenwood on the clip of him striking balls at park other week didn’t look Sunday league standard
 

Interesting example of group think herd mentality this thread.

Apparently if you dont agree Greenwood is a rapist and should never play football again then you are not allowed to post your opinion and in fact should be banned from the forum.

who has said you should be banned?

no one is stopping you post your opinion. its just your opinion is based on 'not knowing what went on' when we do in fact know what went on, as it was recorded and put into the public domain

if you think that recording is acceptable then thats up to you, but 99% of people think that it isn't acceptable
 
Unless he can come out and explain that audio recording, he's always going to be viewed that way.

People can put 2 and 2 together and see why the charges were dropped. Key witnesses either coerced into not giving evidence or realising they were going to lose the cash-cow. "New material" provided which sounds like an updated statement either from the victim or one of the key witnesses remaining that backtracks on what they originally told police.

Let’s say the abused pulled her statement and then said it was role play.
The police would struggle to find a case.

However not that poor lass, who is either an amazing actor, scared to death or doesn’t mind the odd slap to get back in line. Has to live that life now, but at least she’s gonna be financially rewarded when compared to similar cases
 
I don't like Greenwood. Every photo of him looks like the countenance of someone who tortured animals as a child.

I also think it's likely he abused his girlfriend and don't think he deserves a lucrative career.

However, cancel-culture can get fucked. It's all well and good letting rabid man-haters decide who gets a job until it's you getting accused of something. When it turns out an allegation is false they slink away without so much of an apology for trying to ruin someone's life.

This thread is worrying, people making this to be way more complicated than it is.

Lad is a scumbag who did horrific things. Should be in prison and never be allowed to play football again.

The broader tolerance for horrific misogyny in society and in particular the legal system has meant he’s not gone to prison.

And the obscene amount of money in sport in general, but in this case football, means he will certainly play again, almost certainly for United.

I think we have all seen the video clips and that lass with cuts to her face and bleeding. It looks to me that this lad is indeed a monster and from the outside looking in looks like he is actually a little rat rapist. Now here’s the confusing part. She has taken him back, they are having a child and everything seems rosy now,,,,,yet I’ve not seen one of them come out and say anything public. I mean imagine if your girlfriend or partner put out a video of you in what seems an attempted rape and physical abuse then you were subsequently arrested and charged. Then all charges are later dropped due to what would appear to be a witness either changing their statement or withdrawing their allegation altogether. Now surely there’s enough there what’s out in the public domain to put a case together, or has the girl withdrawn her statement. If so then why. And also this Greenwood fella,,,imagine if this were you and you had done nothing wrong and let’s just say these videos were role play,,,then why not say something. It does given what’s out there look to me like the girl has been hushed up and this lad is as guilty as they come.
