Glamorgan v Durham One Day Cup

Just another set of Northern Pombears as far as I'm concerned ;)

I don't even think either of them have that sponsor I'm just calling all the hundred teams Pombears tbh.

They’re nee Teddy Faces like 🤷‍♂️
Hideous scheduling sending Durham all the way to Neath on a Tuesday

Yes, I don’t know whether the lads have stayed south for an extended time, but the sensible option would’ve been for this fixture to have been played on Sunday - with Derbyshire v Glamorgan today instead.
It feels like every trip we have to Glamorgan is influenced by bad weather

They’ve had very bad luck with the weather in the South West this year, even worse than everywhere else that has been shite (if that makes sense).

I think Glamorgan are our biggest challengers in the Championship - they’re not too far behind despite having three of their games completely ruined by the weather.

Would make sense or somehow try and squeeze it in when we are down at Warwickshire and Gloucester.

It is what it is I guess but I am confident there are better options available than to send Durham to Neath on a Tuesday when our last game was the previous Friday.

I suppose the one saving grace for the lads is they’ve doubled up those two you mention - just like they’ve doubled up (in their eyes) Sussex and Glamorgan, but the gap inbetween is mental.

Ah bollox. Had a busy morning at work. Finally find a spare half hour to watch the game and find it's rained off.

Considering they don't have the Hundred shite at Cardiff till Saturday.

Ridiculous they've used an outground anyway. Their game on Thursday is at Neath too.
It’s the unseasonal weather that should be blamed. One of the better features of the one day cup in past years has been the opportunity to spread the game. One of the arguments against the hundred is that it does the opposite. There’ll be parts of West Glamorgan as far from Cardiff as South Durham is from Leeds (certainly, a longer drive). They shouldn’t just play it all in Cardiff.

Out grounds don't have the quality of covers or drying equipment of the county headquarters. Large puddles already on pitch. No chance of any play.
Another side effect of the 16.4 forcing the one day cup onto unsuitable out grounds.

The 16.4 the gift that keeps on giving........

At the end of the day they told us the 16.4 was going to spread the game and bring in new fans. Move that about then?

That'll never happen cos it would mean having two sets of all the custom-made hoardings with all the 1980's block graphics that makes your eyes bleed they have at each ground. Would be a waste of money (not that they're usually averse to that mind) for one token game.
