The Hundred 2023

Durham is one of the biggest counties in the country.............. we have to travel 80 miles south to watch this hideous "thing". Bearing in mind with cricket logic, we are the county for Northumberland and parts of Cumbria and the nearest county for Scotland............ that's a lot of people cut off.
come on, think about it with a wider view rather than with your Durham goggles on. CLS is isolated and faces obstacles that most other large grounds don't because of that. If Durham was in Durham or Newcastle that would be a different conversation.
Yet it won’t attract anywhere near the numbers that the excellent Ashes Series that has just finished did.
Haha. You think the ashes would have the same pull if it was on a yearly basis? Regardless, I believe a very small margin of those watching the ashes are new to cricket, the hundred is however will be seen by many more with no experience of cricket. Not everyone wants to watch red ball, especially when new to the sport

Is this a genuine question?? The ECB created the 16.4 at the detriment of the county game. Not remember the bribe they paid the counties to shepherd it through?
By County Cricket i was referring to the 4 day game, its a feeder system to the test team and even now that starting to be less relevant, especially for batters.

We have an international cricket ground......................
