Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

 wtf we've literally sold more tickets than Leeds, Leicester, Portsmouth and Wrexham.

If this was a Sunderland fan trolling this much he'd be banned already. Nice work mods.

Leicester l, Portsmouth and Wrexham were the only clubs I could find that had sold out. No news on Leeds, but if true, well done on selling 37k tickets.
Leicester City - 32,262
Leeds Utd - 37,608
Portsmouth - 20,899
Wrexham - 10,771

Only the Community Shield and Celtic will have a big crowd than us.

I know it's been well debated but the issue won't go away so long as missiles are hoyed down.
Also, if we get back to premier league we have to provide 3k tickets to away fans. Then what?
From what I have been told, they don’t want to move the away fan’s back to the south stand and using any other part of the lower bowl would cost a lot to build the walls to create a separate section on the concourse.

I also understand that the safety certificate would not be issued if there was a net at the front of the away section, as the danger of a flare bouncing back into that section would be too high. I know that seems daft as it puts the risk on the fans below.

As I said this is what I have been told , so don’t shoot the messenger.

So cost over safety of the fans basically . Glad the club have their priorities in order.

They also think that there could be other safety issues by restricting the movement of home fans under the stands as well.

By the way I agree that we need to find a way to get the away fans back into the lower bowl. I would put them back where they used to be.

I had said originally should be NEC or SEC. But if they aren't willing to pay for that move to happen then the club are going to find themselves in serious trouble as there's no doubt in my mind as long as they are above the home fans, then a serious injury will happen at some point.

How do the mags manage this problem dare I say it? Away fans up on the gods there too.

But some have sold in that block??
A dozen, 25 tops
But some have sold in that block??
Tracker only works in terms of full blocks.
P18 has a capacity of 476 seats. Let's say 26 have been sold this morning.
If P18 is not included the the Tracker would be 26 out.
If P18 were to be included the the Tracker would be 450 out.

Newcastle still have the fans in the upper tier.yet you dont hear of much trouble( obviously ignore when safc are there) from there away supporters hoying down stuff on the fans below ...is it a bias in reporting by the press or do they search away fans better? We need either to spend money on better and more policing of the area or have discussion with fa to organise an automatic ban or reduction in away fans but not just for safc games for their next 3 or 4 away games that tickets have not been sold yet..............we need the fans to police themselves making the tossers who throw smoke bombs and the like lepers in their own community and not some sort of hero!...........there are ways to stop this behaviour and we should not accept that there isnt ...... the sad and eye opening fact is though that the club are not willing to spend the money to deploy them.........
