Bid rejected for Clarke

What you lads are now seeing is the result of being the nearly men last season. All of a sudden your players have suitors and their heads are turned. Expectation will be a big factor for you next season too. Good luck.

As said in the Ross Stewart thread, why are we believing a blogger with no source? Who is also stirring loads up.

It’s ok. He is now teasing that Clarke is away as well.

Roberts was offered a new contract recently and I think he reported that, so wouldn't be surprised if it's just that he's rejected the contract.

edit: also, would appreciate some good news soon. Feel like everyone is getting a bit twisty, and as I see it right now I'm pretty happy with the state of our squad (albeit we do need a striker)

Think where going to have to get used to selling top players unfortunately, it's clearly the model that we have, sign young players develop them and sell them on for a profit, will break some hearts If he left but he wont be the last
We have a tremendous knack of identifying players at the moment
Several that would break our hearts now were unknown not long ago
The likes of Ekwah Rigg and Hume will soon be the next in my humble

Your last paragraph is important with the season about to start
Personally my mood thermometer re safc will rise when I feel confident my season tickets are sorted ? -and we have strikers in
However the position has to be we trust the recruitment-look at the players coming through -Hume -Ekwah -Rigg -Patto -Ballard -Semedo
We have real cause for optimism and if someone does leave then we seem able to get a suitable replacement or someone like Ekwah steps up when given a chance
Could Ba step up or Bennette ?

plenty time yet for a couple lads to sign up. I think our gaffers are canny now, any stirring from lads / agents and we will handle it properly.

This squad has a cracking look about it, those in charge built it, they are not daft, other sides need to show us the money or fk off.

As am I but if he doesn't want to be here (and no-one knows how he'll come back) then fair enough.
The concern for me would be the fact that none of his injuries are impact ones. They are always when no-one is anywhere near him and various different parts of the leg
It’s a gamble
If we offered big money /long contract with us and first game back he’s lying on the floor in agony -most would say why did we risk it?-real difficult situation
Like everyone thinks -top player who I hope stays-gets fit and scores more goals but we have to balance the approach.
If we have another potential gem lined up then I trust this recruitment team

Club can’t win here…Stewart leaves and everyone is up in arms as we didn’t secure him with a bumper pay deal

Stewart stays after being given a bumper pay deal and misses most of the season and they were daft to offer him a deal.

I’ll be disappointed for it to end as it looks like it will, hardly on the pitch and going to another rival in this league (I’d rather he went to one of the Glasgow clubs). He was class for us when on the pitch.

He’ll leave as will other players we’d rather not see go, the trick is not losing the better players all at once and of course being able to replace them effectively
