County Cricket 2023

Cricinfo reporting that Worcestershire are set to lose Jack Haynes, along with wicketkeeper Cox, both will no doubt join somewhere like Notts. A bit of a sickener for them having already lost 3 seamers to test hosting counties

Notts have now signed Jack Haynes from Worcestershire. As bad as Surrey those kernts.
They're always bang average as well, at best. Never gets them anywhere
Always a nice place to visit, Trent Bridge, and they do the supporter facing stuff very well, but how they operate on the cricket playing side of things leaves a lot to be desired, and if I was a Notts supporter or member I'd be a bit pissed off

Notts are far far worse than Surrey, after all, Surrey have a proven track record of youth development and of players progressing to play for England. Surrey do bring in a lot of ‘outsiders’ but lately that has mainly been to plug the gaps left by England selection. As for Notts, when was the last time they produced an England player from their own ranks…..?!

Yep, I think Peter Moores has to take a lot of the blame for that too, he’s a safe pair of hands but that’s all he is.

Hales Ball and Patel are the only ones I can think of.

As Duckett and Hameed both developed by others and got debuts when at Northants/Lancs. At Notts when they got their recalls.

Yeah, thought it hadn’t been many. Ball would’ve been the most recent one I’d imagine.
