Bid rejected for Clarke

Not sure why they think £15m is ridiculous.

He’s very young, and had over 10 goals and 10 assists if I remember correctly. Also got 3 years left on his deal.

They’re in for a nasty shock re prices of other players if they think that’s ridiculous.
Exactly. £15m is nowt these days in PL terms. Just have to look at Chelsea rejecting £40m for Gallagher!

What, you mean like when Clarke had the opportunity to stay at Spurs in the Premier League, but chose to come and play for us in the Championship?

As a player who wasn't even getting on the pitch.

At Burnley he would start every game.

f***ing hell 😂

Of course if a team who finished miles ahead of us, are in the Premier League ,and can offer him a lot more money have a bid accepted, he isn't going to turn them down.

Burnley have probably been informally made aware of that, and hence why they keep bidding.

All we can ask for is that if we don't accept a bid he remains loyal, committed and doesn't kick up a stink. Everything we've seen and heard suggests that is the case and that his attitude has been spot on, and that whilst he won't turn down the move, if a fee isn't agreed he's still perfectly happy at Sunderland.
This, some are in a dream world if they think he would want to stay here or that he's better off staying here.

Can't see him going anywhere. Even if he's open to moving I don't think he's the sort to force it with a transfer request, and Burnley aren't going to bid near what we want.

If we sold clarke for 15 million we'd probably get 10. For a player as important as clarke, with 3 years left on his contract, in a market being heavily inflated with what's going on in Saudi Arabia it would be nuts to accept such an offer.
But the lad wants away man, to got to the bountyful world and bright lights of Burnley.
I read it on here man.🤣🤣🤣
I think he would. If he didn't play every game he would start 75% of them. He's performed better in a worse side than the wingers they have
Probably get subbed in 75% when they’re getting humped 5 by man c, U, spurs, pool, Chelsea, Mags, Brighton, West Ham,
So you started by saying he plays every game.
Then he only starts 75%.
Then he gets subbed in 75% of the 75% he starts.
Sounds to me like a lot of time not actually playing that mind.🤣

Needs 1 more year at least, we could be right there next season and he will not have to move. We will still have 2 years left on his contract as well.

He goes, our chances decrease a lot. He is a highly valuable asset to us and he should understand that.
He doesn't want to leave

Is that your thoughts or fact?

Both him and his agent have said he's happy here marra.
He jumped in too early by going to Spurs and wasted his time.
The definition of madness is to make the same mistake over and over again.
He won't go.

Hope you are right. I agree with you, but have a feeling he'll go for some reason. Perhaps just used to it being a Sunderland fan
