Bid rejected for Clarke

Aye, i've already been put in the naughty corner mate and been corrected  🤪
I wasn’t 100 per cent either
But it is 2026 apparently which is even better
These 1million “jumps “ by Burnley ( if true ) are a bit of an insult
Sometimes you just don’t know what to believe but what is good is we are no longer a joke regarding contracts .

Can see an 11m bid coming in next... seems really strange as I would have thought we would come out and say 20mil + or we are not even talking..

You only get so many chances at making a consolidated step up to being a premier league player . A relegation and him back in the championship would be his second go and hed have to go up with a promoted team as few top sides would be calling or he'd end up a travelling yo yo player at best.
If i was him id at least wait for a secure premiership team, playing your joker on Burnley is not wise.

But £20m isnt the price i fear and they dont want to discourage the £15-16m bids by saying it is . I reckon hell go for £16m staged plus add ons and we'll re buy at £4-5m with the first payment.

Burnley will have to find a lot more change down the back of the sofa. I suspect they are way off our valuation.
The thing is we don’t now the ins and outs of the deal we signed him on. There's been talk that some clubs have first dibs on players they've sold us. His agent could be speaking to Burnley and telling them what to bid. All just guess work of course. Personally if I had something that someone really wanted to buy I wouldn't publicly put a valuation on it as they're more likely to pay more than you would accept.

Have to factor in the sell on clause Spurs have which was rumoured to be 40%.

It seems they are trying to coax him into putting in a transfer request
There really is no need for any player to put in a transfer request at our club. We know the model (yeah, I hate referring to it as well) if a club meets the valuation he will probably go. Transfer request or not. I’m sure he has had talks and if he say he wants to go then they need to pay up or go away. Why the hell should we accept a profit of around £6m on one of our best players assets with fees so inflated.

I heard 20% but even at 40% the profit would be less than £5m. Burnley are taking the piss.
