Bid rejected for Clarke

15m upfront and if he wants away then I'd let him go for that. Ideally don't want him to go at all. I even think at 15m he'd be under valued but if he wants away then 15m upfront would be my asking price. Bristol City have just rejected 20m with add ons reportedly for Alex Scott. We've no reason to be bent over and held at ransom. Promotion is the aim and Clarke is arguably our best player.
Can't even put a price on him cos we have no idea how much of it will go to Spurs.

I hope Clarke stays, he’s a game changer at this level and 11 players of his ability would walk this league
I don't know why people are stressing, he joined us when we were in L1 and he was PL. Every interview he's like 'most important thing is being settled', why's he going to go back to the PL for a worse team than he left? Why does anyone think Clarke is desperate for a bit of Burnley when he's already picked us over Spurs?

IMO

That's what Bristol City are quoting for Alex Scott, plus Clarke has 2 yrs left on his contract.
I think this summer is the peak of his value. Even if he delivers the same numbers again next season he’ll be 12 months from the end of the his contract and his value will drop. So if he’s worth (say) £15m now, he’ll be worth that at a maximum next summer
