People from Jersey are colloquially called 'beans' because jersey has toads but guernsey doesn't.

tremendous that like, would never have found that out if it was just cricket chat.

It’s a pity teams can’t be fined for substandard pitches that offer absolutely nothing for the bowlers - but this is a road.

Probably best for all involved if it pisses down all day tomorrow in Derby, saves our lads putting miles in their legs for the inevitable bore draw but a decent trip overall which will see us gain 12 points and extend our lead over the chasing pack.

Affogato

Dessert-
St Aloysius infants. Tapioca, and if you were lucky you got a lump of extra high sugar congealed jam.

Top class MLF you mosi.

(Although i did try an affogato recently and thought it was a bit shit, i still appreciate it)

Prefer semolina to tapioca mind big yes to the congealed jam

I have my uses (limited though they may be 😁)

More than happy with 12 points, hope it rains tomorrow and we head home early and rest ahead of Tuesday. No chance of a result in this one, take a draw and hopefully rest well tomorrow
I honestly don't know why Derbyshire haven't shaken hands over night.

Even if there was a full days play, there's no way our batting line up gets rattled for sub 200 which is the only way they'd be winning. That would also need them to score 200-250 in a short space of time.

Is that even allowed?

Id be pretty annoyed as a fan if i fancied a day at the cricket and they duffed it off because they couldn't be bothered
I doubt it but there's absolutely no point in bothering with the weather around.

I'm sure hands will be shook after lunch

Wouldnt have thought so although I remember the last home game of the 2019 season against Glamorgan where the 2nd and 3rd day had been washed out. There was nothing riding on the game and the match was called off before start of play on the 4th day even though it was sunny and I guess play could have started before lunch.
