It looks to me that in the bowlers the Aussies look shagged out today
they also have a problem as their last five completed innings , their last 7 wickets have only put on around 100
they are due a major collapse and hopefully it may come sometime tomorrow afternoon
I also reckon this pitch will spin big so as long as England can punish them and get up to a 200 lead, we should have enough time to make it Desmond

at times today with knee and hamstring problems he looked done . Then the shoulder was causing him a problem . Im not sure if he is out for the innings but I suspect this will be his last test of the summer as his workload has him struggling
Absolutely no context needed, we were 2-0 down in the Series when we should’ve been at the absolute worst 1-1 (even the Aussies were saying we should’ve won both).
It doesn’t make one iota of difference what they achieved against other countries. You measure them in each individual series because that’s how Test Series’ work. BazBall worked against other countries with inferior attacks on good decks.
A lot of people suspected it wouldn’t be as easy against the best bowling attack in the world. It hasn’t been.

Yeah that’s fair and was always going to be tbf and more difficult as they have a very good bowling attack.
But we have continued to play the best way that suits our team and there has been nothing between the sides.
Considering the quality of their side we have more than matched them and all 3 games in this series could have gone to either side.
Imo this style both suits our players and is brilliant cricket to watch.
I fully appreciate it is high risk cricket and with that you will get some wins and some losses.
Great days like today and frustrating days which granted have happened in earlier tests in this series.
But as long as we winning more than we losing which we are quite easily I am more than happy.
Especially when you consider the low point this team was before this new approach

Starc could be f*cked with his shoulder, it’ll be a big ask for Cummins to play all 5, they don’t trust Boland and they don’t appear to have a spinner they trust either following the Lyon injury - which was huge for this series.
I said coming into this game that even though they’re 2-1 up, the Aussies have far more questions about their team than we do - whilst a number of England players shouldn’t really be in the side for various reasons, one thing that must be praised is the clarity with which Stokes and Baz have shown in their selections and with the trust they have for certain players.

But Bazball can only be blamed for the failure if you think that playing a more 'traditional' method would have more success.
It could be countered that playing a more traditional manner would possibly have us getting beater more comfortably, and the only reason Thai series is so, so close is due to the aggressive tactics were deploying.
Of course, it's speculation, but I generally feel the last point. If we'd come into th series playing more 'nornal! test cricket I think we had meekly rolled over. But it's all just opinions I guess.

Three or four of the Aussies sprinted after him to shake his hand too, as much as they’ve shown their ‘true colours’ on occasion in this series it was indeed a touch of class the way they responded to Crawley today.

I think ALL the Tests have been £25 on Day 5 from memory. Might be an ECB recommendation or some sort of joint agreement between the grounds…?
