Wrong about Bairstow but

vindicated about Anderson.
Should never have been picked. Effectively no more than a stock bowler these days.
I hope Bairstow can rub my nose in it by scoring big runs after his fantastic catch

What was your take on Bairstow like ? Is all forgiven after one good catch ? He's still cost us a tonne of runs. I've always said he should be in the team, but so should Foakes keeping wicket. If we're being honest Bairstow behind the stumps has been a bit of a disaster this series. Was a great catch yesterday mind, but some of the drops yesterday were the complete opposite.

Agree about Anderson, he's sadly finished now as far as his England career goes.

The guy has averaged something insane like 15 since turning 40 and he's being written off. He just isn't fully fit. Bairstow hasn't been fit either and arguably worse than Anderson.

Bairstow still doesn't seem fit and his movements seem wooden, which after a bad leg break is understandable but not ideal for a wicketkeeper

Bairstow took a great catch yesterday but he was untidy throughout the day, constantly dropping catches and missing byes etc...

Dropped 3 in the first 30 minutes, catch referring to his wicket keeping off the bowlers
there was one early on that they had a half hearted appeal for LBW that he just fumbled and it hit the floor, as it carried TV never showed it again with a snicko but i was convinced id heard a noise in real time

Think that was pad, they showed it again at the ground, but yeah he did drop that one

Don't be daft. He was part of a bowling attack that bowled them out in a day on a flat pitch. He offered control, created pressure as a result of that control and had little luck. Another bowler may not have bowled with the same control and they may well have scored more as a result. At least wait until the end of the game before declaring how 'right' you were. Cricket has a good habit of making people look daft.
