A teessider who ridicules the area despite living there. never claimed our support isn’t thickle either our catchment area is probably big enough to attract more but it is what it is. The reality is mate your Sunderland you have strong regional support and good distant history but the reality is in the modern era and right now we are both mediocre and will both continue to be mediocre

They fail to realise they will always be mediocre just like we are. In the grand scheme of things we’re both absolutely nothing. I’d be delighted to see us finishing in the top 10 of the premier league and have a good run there. Don’t have any delusion that we belong there like some on here do however

Sunderland haven’t been well run in my lifetime but it feels like they are being now. The fan base and facilities we have should mean we are a more successful club than Boro but you’ve had a brilliant owner so it’s largely evened things up with you having a better spell than our good spell. Scared of hoping but we are being run well and I feel we may tip ahead in the next 3 years but think you’ll go for it more this year.

Our home atmosphere is generally not great mind. The away fans being in the gods and the only part of the ground that makes an atmosphere regularly being the other end of the ground doesn’t help. We can’t hear the away fans and they can’t hear us. Everyone goes away thinking the atmosphere wasn’t great.

Some games I agree, it was also really poor in some games. I think unfortunately it sounds great in the Roker end but not sure how far that travels.

I think it was at times mate. Certainly towards the end of the season. I just wish they’d move the away fans back down I think it’ll help the atmosphere massively
