I’ll be at Summer Streets all day Saturday. One of the highlights of the year for me, a fantastic family orientated festival with bands that cater for (snob alert) proper music fans. They’ve got a unique blend that means it attracts families & a few music fans later on, but doesn’t seem to be the right fit for whallopers on electric scooters with cans of Fosters.
Anyhow, Saturday I am very looking forward to Roxy Girls & Young’uns in particular. Then I’ll be heading over to Pop Recs for Reverend acoustic. As long as the weather doesn’t ruin it all, it will be a great day.

Date: July 15th to 16th, 2023. Venue: Cliffe Park, Sunderland. The Young ‘Uns will play for the crowds at Cliffe Park for Summer Streets. Summer Streets, the free community arts and music festival which has been serving up cultural delights to Sunderland since 2014 is back for 2023. It’s on Sunday to, but dint think I’ll be making that.
Know that Rev. & The Makers at Pop. Recs says it's Sold Out, above, tonight.
However, went to see them (only 2members in the acoustic set), at The Cluny last night.
Over 3 hours of live music (8-11pm), with 4 support bands. Have never seen that many before ?
Rev. & The Makers duo were brilliant, on for just over an hour.
Fair play to The Rev. for having 4 local artists (with short 20-ish minute sets) getting a bigger audience.
Could be worth popping down to Pop Recs to see if there's any "returns" tonight ?
