Old Trafford (Tickets etc)

Yes me and the girlfriend are going on day 1, can't wait 😊

Weatherspoons breakfast and a pint to start with šŸ˜†

Block CL5 row 6.
There aren’t many circumstances where it’s just about socially acceptable to down a pint at 9.00 šŸ˜† I think an early flight is probably the only other one. Fill yer boots marra wish I was with you.

Cheers mate.

Girlfriend lives in Ashton...so tram from there ! ....into Manchester after day one for a few pints and a bite to eat ! šŸ˜‹ šŸ»

It’s a monstrosity these days mind the ground. If teams are heaving at old Trafford have a 10-15 minute walk up to wharf side and jump on one there which is on a different line to the cricket ground station and still goes to the city.

You'll get a bit coming into the city at that time, unavoidable if you're trying to get anywhere in the centre I'm afraid.
Think it'll make a difference if I park north of the centre then? Don't mind walking 20 mins just don't want to be sat in traffic.

Park and ride would be easiest.

Park at Whitefield tram stop just off J17 of the M60. Tram into town is about 20 minutes, get off at St Peter's Square.

Parking is free.

Aye, we usually walk to Exchange Quay and get the tram from there.

I’ll be driving this year, mind.

re: breakfast, a bloke told me last year that the cafeteria at Trafford town hall serves an absolute belter but in all my years of going to OT I’ve never been so buyer beware.

Trafford Bar is only a 10 minute walk and you can get the Didsbury and Airport trams into town

How late would you need to know, if I hear of any? Night before?

PM sent mate.

Just got myself a Ā£50 restricted view ticket for the Friday. Right on the top corner of their trapdoor stand which there’s no chance I’m sitting in.

Just looking at transport now and trains are Ā£100. Cheeky ask but if anyone is going and wants an extra head to chip in for petrol and a couple of pints please drop me a PM šŸ‘

Good luck

At the risk of upsetting Rob, it's pissed it down all morning and looks set for grey cloud and drizzle all day.

Starting to worry.
