Forthcoming gigs.

Anyone experience any issues getting under 14's into the standing area of gigs? The Mrs bought tickets for us + the then 12 yr old lad to see the Food Fighters up in Scotland next year.

She originally selected seating to avoid the age limit, however Ticketmaster are washing their hands of it.

Also got tickets for Royal Blood in Boro.
Is that a tribute band?

Jokes apart it will depend from gig to gig and venue to venue. Most I have seen recently say U14s must be accompanied. What is the actual policy? Then of course the reality might depend on how old the bairn actually looks.

U14s accompanied by an adult have to be sitting.

I'm confident he'll pass for a 14yr old.

When is that? I can't see a Boro date on their website. They were great at TRNSMT last night, so I'd like to see them again.

Like their stuff, not seen them live but thought ticket prices for this were way too steep, so ive not bothered....yet.
Can see the place being half empty.

I wonder who assembles the lineups for these things? Do the headliners curate the weekend?
I am sure Damon picked the supports. I know he really likes wu-lu who has supported him. To be honest , I cannot believe people are complaining about self esteem supporting. She is class. And I dunno what better aligned support means. Blur have always been more than just a guitar indie band. They themselves are a proper mish mash of styles

Could easily imagine him being a fan of the Mods and Jockstrap as well.

Really looking forward to seeing Self Esteem headlining at Green Man in what is a stunning setting. She has played there 2 or 3 times on the smaller stages on her way up, as well as with Slow Club.

I wasn't complaining, just observing that most people there didn't know her or seemed remotely interested or impressed. Didn't spoil an amazing night in any case.

I dare say sometimes bands choose their support but in many cases they don't (certainly lower down the food chain). More likely aligned with who the promoters know and can get, with some attempt at alignment. I just don't think they did a good job, and I accept that might be something of a personal view, but clearly one held by others there too.

I am surprised people haven't heard of self esteem mind. She has really become popular this last year

Email this morning offering tickets for Who at O2 tonight - £15.

Expect similar for Durham, but cheaper?

I'll jump if they drop to that. The prices are already 50% off but still £70+ for the best seats.
Got Tom grenann tonight at the boilershop for his album launch gig. Really enjoyed his show back in Feb so looking forward to tonight. Anyone been to the boilershop? Never been before.

Been to 3 or 4 gigs there. It's a really nice venue, decent bar/prices too. (Couple of good micropubs in the arches just along the road anarl).

Cheers, going to pop for something to eat although I'm limited to some form of burger as it's all she eats 🤣
